Lock clips for bearing lock nuts and withdrawal sleeves

A lock clip is the small part that stops a bearing lock nut from working loose once the machine is running. It sits in the keyway of an adapter or withdrawal sleeve and drops into one of the slots machined around the nut, turning a friction joint into a positive mechanical lock that vibration cannot undo. Anyone who has stripped a shaft after a nut backed off knows why it matters.

Selection is dictated by the nut rather than by preference: each clip series matches a specific range of nut sizes and thread diameters, and fitting the wrong one either leaves play in the keyway or refuses to seat at all. Read the designation stamped on the nut before ordering, and fit a new clip rather than reusing the old one, because the tab work-hardens and cracks on the second bend.

Order it together with the lock nut it belongs to, and check the puller sleeve range if the mounting also needs a new adapter or withdrawal sleeve.
